Logistics Manager - Air and Sea Transportation
Our client is a Berlin-based, international Logistics company with 19 global locations in the world. The company has grown into an industry leader in supply chain optimization, using innovative concepts in transportation and network management to continuously plan, optimize, and manage supply chain networks as a neutral 4PL.
They are expanding their business and portfolio, so they are looking for you to join the outstanding team in the Czech Republic (Pilsen):
Key responsibilities:
• Responsible for all execution activities, incl. transport ordering, balancing and exception management
• Leading and developing an international team of logistics specialists
• Manage and optimize transport operations on the different sites
• Managing and optimizing the daily flow of goods and guaranteeing exception management to the satisfaction of our customers
• Communicating regularly with customers regarding the status of operations
• 2nd level escalation for execution topics, incl. management of escalation process and carrier development
• Monitoring logistics performance and costs
• Analyzing network metrics to determine and drive continuous improvement measures
• Occasional business trips to Berlin or Hamburg

What you bring to the company:
• University degree with professional experience and firm knowledge of air & sea freight
• 2+ years of experience in supervising (leadership role) and developing a team
• Results-driven, customer-oriented
• Adaptability to new situations and peak operation periods, with a structured approach to problem-solving
• Strong communication skills in English -- German skills would be beneficial
• Advanced user knowledge of enterprise IT systems
• Interested in the field of logistics and working in a dynamic, virtual and international environment
• User knowledge of MS Office package
